where is my php.ini file

    I get errors with send emails on my site. my server isnot support PHP sendmail. i must configure as smtp. But i dot know where's my php.ini file. would you help me.

    Depends. Are you running your own server? Then it is under your main Windows root directory (if you are running Windows, if not, well I can't help ya). If you are using a host, then you'll have to talk to them and ask them about any changes you wish to make.

    php.ini can be in 2 places. I found that if you have it in your PHP directory that will be be the one used by PHP before it looks for it in the windows directory. Edit the one in the PHP directory.

    More info, what OS are you running on, do you have root (i.e. 100% access to all the server) access or not?

    Then you don't have access to the php.ini file, you will have to talk to your host.

    I did.. but their answer is negative and said you must use smtp. I must configure my site with smtp.

    Depending on your server setup, if PHP is installed as a binary, you may be able to edit your php.ini settings in your cgi-bin directory.
