I was wondering if any one has writen or heard of a module/block that creates menus for catagories. for example when a visitor comes to the home page there is a menu that has 4 options/catagories when option was is clicked it takes you to that catagory and a new menu apears spacific for that catagory. but only visible while in that catagory. I know that curently when you go to catagory it gives you the list of artles in that catagory and that is similar. but I need this to be a full menu matching the navigation scheem. Also what would be good is if you click to that catagory to be able to have content there say describing the catagory and the menu as well. If any one knows of any such thing that would be great.

You could do this with AutoTheme and custom module settings.
Other than that I really don't know of a way.

can you do it with AT light or do you need the full version. Also if you can give me a little instructions on how that would be super.

Yes you can do that with AT-Lite
The way I would do it.
Create custom blocks titled area1 through 9
Then for each module, set that custom to display that block.

I am still not following I have been playing with AT but so far with not much success in acheaving what you discribed. can you be a bit more specific on the steps. If you know of a good tutorial that would be great too. I have only found ones on how to make themes not how to use the modual to customize the lay out.
