Anyone know where I can download working weather and recipe modules? I managed to find
    weather_1.30
    pnweather_71x.zip

and a couple of others but I wasn't able to get either of them working. For instance when I attempt to initialise the weather module I get a "Table creation failed" error. I posted a cry for help to the Third Party Modules forum but I never received a reply.
If I try the pnweather_71x module I find that I have to add additional tables. I also run into problems whenever I try this.

I downloaded recipeprev1.zip, initialised and activated it fine. I even manaegd to add it to the menu but when I attempt to navigate to it in the Admin section I get the following:
    Load: FOOD_DES.txt
    Load: FD_GROUP.txt
    Load: NUT_DATA.txt
    Load: NUTR_DEF.txt

Hopefully someone here can help me out with this?

    Thanks in advance.

I almost missed your question about the Recipe module. Currently there are no admin functions required for this module, the ones you see are for future capabilities.

Just add the Recipe module to your main (or other) menu block and it should work. By default, ADMIN access is required to make additions/changes.

After playing around with it I finally figured it out. It's actually kinda nice. A bit intimidating at first but easy afterwards. I'll definately keep it.

    Thanks and Good work.

Now what about that Weather module. Am I the only one having problems with it?

I use the Weather module as well. In fact, I'm a beta tester and provided the country files for Australia. The developer is a great guy and actually very helpful. His site is in French, however there is an English support forum at http://www.vedrine.n…-viewforum-f-6.html.

    Hello,
I'm the current developper of weather 1.30. Sorry, I missed your post.
What is exactly the error message ? In most case errors of that type are caused by previous (prior to 1.30) versions of the module inconpletely unistalled. Normaly my upgrade routine should take care of that but I know it is not bulletproof because they are many variants of weather 1.26 1.27 and 1.28 floating around.
I tried to write a complete step by step procedure when something goes wrong during installation just to be sure to suppress every trace and install again you can find it here http://www.vedrine.n…viewtopic-t-13.htmlAnd yes it is in english icon_lol even if my website is in french !!
I must admit that in a least one case I didn't manage to provide a valuable help to installation problem (isn't it Marie Alline, I'm still sorry !!)
but in most case we managed to get to module working.
So don't hesitate to contact me for help.
Additionnaly as Wendell has said 1.31 in currently in beta-testing and should be out soon.

Thanks for the reply. I really would like to add this to my site.
I get a "Table creation failed" error after trying to initialise this module in PN. I open up MySQLCC and I notice the following tables created:
    nuke_wthr_cache
    nuke_wthr_pkg
    nuke_wthr_user

I next attempt to resolve this by doing the following:
Deactivate and remove from Admin/Modules without Regenerating. It doesn't allow me to deactivate. So I delete the "weather" module from the server and then go back and remove the files.
Next I delete the tables from MySQLCC and attempt to reinstall and get the same "freakin" error. It simpy does not create all of the necessary tables. So either I've downloaded the wrong one or I'm missing something. I registered with your site but wasn't able to find a Downloads section.
I also looked on kanimes' site and couldn't find the module in the Downloads area.
Thanks and any response is appreciated.

    Hello,
Apparently something goes wrong in the tables creation process (the module should create 6 tables).
Looking at the code I can't really see why you have a problem.
So send me your mail adress and I will send you a modified pninit.php file so that more meaningfull error messages are displayed.
With that we will see exactly what goes wrong.

weather 1.31 will have a file for india but it's a global file for all the country as I don't have the necessary knowledge to broke it into state.
In fact 1.31 will have nearly all the countries that weather.com support (huge work icon_rolleyes )

I am the current developper of this module and you can get it from www.keopsonline.com or www.kyantonius.com
Version 1.31 is currently in test and should be out (if no tester found last minute bug icon_lol ) during the next week. It will be available at both download sites.
weather 1.30 and 1.31 support getting weather forecast from MSNBC and weather.com XML feed. To use weather.com XML feed you need a partner id and authorisation key that you can get for free on their site (adress is in the module doc)[/quote]
