    I use phpBB2 on my postnuke site for its forums as this one does and I love its use of Ban Control. I would love to see a Ban Control feature added to the postnuke NS-User module that was similar to phpBB2s.
    I have a member of the site I have banned from the forums which works great! but he keeps reregistering to the main site under different usernames and different email address. I could use PHP to ban the IP# but I like the way phpBB2 does it much better. Does anyone know a good way to ban a member of the site.

    This is how I see a good Ban Control work.
    The member that is banned is able to log into the site as normal but they can not do anything on the site, post, submit etc. Every time they try it tells them they have been banned. Also if they try to reregister they are told there email block i.e. anything *@hotmail.com is banned.
    Also I wish there was a way to turn of Private messages per user the way phpBB2 does.

    if anyone has come across a way of doing this other than using permissions for a specific user i'd be very interested to hear from you..

    i'd really like to automatically stop users trying to register with a free email address (yahoo, hotmail etc) the portalzine module just adds a censor list for username, not email address

    Anyone find/have a way to ban hotmail and yahoo addresses yet?

    i keep meaning to sit down and code something but never seem to be able to find the time :/
