Has anyone built software or modules to assist with building themes?
Other than AutoTheme?
I've played around with AT but would be interested in using something where I could use a form in PostNuke to configure a theme and have it put everything together in a theme directory so I could just choose it when done.
Does this sound like a module anyone would be interested in?

Yes it exists, AutoTheme 1.7 beta (not lite, the comercial one). I believe that Xanthia has this ability as well.

I would be interested in knowing more specifics. AutoTheme provides an online HTML editor and forms to configure different aspects of you theme. Of course it can be made better and that is my aim, but I think that if you make it too simple such as the one I saw recently in the new (theme editor I think) then you're theme is going to look like everyone elses with the exception of colors and some placements.
As with anything, you must balance power and simplicity. The ultimate power is using all PHP and PN API calls in theme.php and the ultimate simplicity is using someone elses theme. HTML is the predominate way for building web pages and will always be needed if you want to really customize a theme. What would be simpler? If you could give some bullet points it would be much easier toi answer. I doubt that a module that asks you some questions and produces the theme of your dreams is an achievable goal.
Thanks!

I fully agree... it might seem "neat" to new users (for a short time) but wouldn't produce anything terribly original.
IMHO, AutoTheme rocks!! ... and it's well worth the cost!
Just my .02...

What I would REALLY like to see is a CSS online editor.
You navigate to a page in the web, and along the top or bottom is a CSS window that shows ALL the tags in use on the page, then it lets you change the values and the page refreshes to show the changes.
This would be especially helpful for PNphpBB2...

Xanthia is still in RC Stages, I don't know if anyone has bothered to work with it yet.

I played around with it a bit, but it just didn't appeal to me. I wonder why the development team doesn't just incorporate AutoTheme Lite like mdpro has done.
