Hey people,
I'm looking for a module that will allow subscribing to a section defined in PostNuke. With this, once an article is posted to a section all subscribers will be notified by email of the new article. I've just downloaded pnTresMailer, but it is still not clear to me whether or not this will do what I am looking for.
Thanks,
Bill

cmsMerchant will handle subscriptions. I'm not sure about emailing people, but you should be able to handle that otherwise.
Oh, cmsMerchant is a commercial module. They want $100 for it right now. I have an older pnMerchant, and it's OK, but not really exemplary.
The nice thing is they have an automatic permission kinda thing to allow people access to a directory, etc., once the people pay through a number of payees, including Paypla, which we use. -

The PNMerchant product did not work on my website. Service was terrible. Refund requests were ignored and sellers merely offered to sell me another version for an additional $50. Support forums were removed from seller's website to hide customer complaints. Avoid at all costs! -

Hi,
This is my morning for catching up with old forum posts :)
pnMerchant was discontinued and has not been available for sometime, cannot really be compared to cmsMerchant which is a totally different module, re-written from the ground up and contains a great deal more code, features and capability. Quite honestly it leaves anything else for Postnuke in the stone age.
At $49.99 for a copy of cmsMerchant Basic it's not likely to break the piggy bank either.
Newsletter capability, full-blown shopping cart, and one or two other features are things that we plan to incorporate into the next upgrade(s) of cmsMerchant along with more payment plugins.
While the autothemes poster is entitled to his opinion about pnMerchant he is not being entirely fair or truthful in his many malicious posts, I suggest anyone interested in cmsMerchant ignore his babbling and make up their own mind.
Sincerely,
Barry
