Hi!
I've installed the PostCalendar module on my site. I'm using this to register events for my club (meetings). In addition to this I would really like a registration form where users can register themselves to join these events.
Is this possible? Have anyone tried to code this?
Best regards
Patrick

Good luck. I've only found one site that is running this type of set up and they won't let go of the code lol. I've been looking for this myself. Working on an idea though. -

Ive got a module that someone sent to me that is supposed to do this. Unfortunately I'm not a programmer and can't get it to work although I'm told it does. To get it to work Postcalender needs to be be hacked a bit to and I suspect the module I've got is for an earlier version. If someone wants to have a go at it let me know and I'll send you the code. -

I am working a bit with this, but having trouble with PostCalendar and pnRender... oh well, that's another post.
Anyways, I was wondering if it might be a better solution to try and use FormExpress to accomplish what you guys are talking about. Right now you can use Fetax to plug into FormExpress and capture data to be used in email templates. It wouldn't be impossible to create a fetax-like module to take that data and store it in a table somewhere, or better yet integrate with any other module on your site and pass info from the form to the module's API create function or something.
It would take some planning, but I think it would be possible and could be really powerful too. -

Working on a solution now. Will keep everyone posted. I'm working with a programmer who is helping me out trying to develope one. I have everything already set in place, I just can't quite figure out how to get the results to show up like I want. Anyway..... I'll send everyone the link once its ready. -

Confused,
I'm very interested in this -- have you had a chance to get this working yet?

I had (emphasis on HAD) this working on my site using PostCalendar and FormExpress 0.3 but it suddenly crashed. Am currently troubleshooting so I don't have a page where you can see it in action.
Anyway, when it WAS working, my sequence of events was something like this:
1. Install and populate PostCalendar.
2. Install and create a registration form using FormExpress. I simply modified one of their sample forms. This is a tedious process so make sure you take advantage of the export feature to save copies of your forms.
3. Install the BlockHome module.
4. Create a page in BlockHome and insert the PostCalendar block and the FormExpress block. With BlockHome, you can position the blocks anyway you want.
5. Create a menu item calling the BlockHome page you just created.
With the right tools, it was pretty straightforward. Figuring out why it stopped working is another matter....
Hope this helps.

I think I want to tackle this feature, too. I'd rather have it all incorporated into PostCalendar (there are already too many inter-module dependencies). Confused, if you're programmer is still working on this, I'd be very interested in getting whatever code you have and helping out.
I really wish I knew what was going on with PostCalendar development, but as it stands, it seems to be another popular PN module that has just died off for no good reason. I know its on noc.postnuke.com, but either development continues elsewhere, or development has stopped. -

It appears development has been awarded to the PN team, and they're a bit busy with other things right now.
I've been playing around with the new module found here http://mods.postnuke…le=article&sid=2363
It's a bit basic at present, but it works. It has a couple of nice features like it won't accept any registrations over the maximum listed for the event. But the problem I see at present is if someone changes their mind, I don't see any easy way to delete their registration. It does appear to have some useful permissions, too. And it would be nice if it had a Paypal payment option.
