  Having installed PN on a number of different servers and reading through the help forum I've got a suggestion that will help get people up and running and keep the boards cleaner. There are two install issues that lot's of people have, the first is register_globals in the newer versions of PHP, why not add a few lines at the bottom of the page that simply say...If you are unable to select a language you'll need to check that your PHP.ini file on you server has the following entry next to it 'register_globals', make sure it's set to 'on', then restart your server. If you are unable to access this file talk to you network admin (there might even be a link to a phpinfo page so people could just check from there).
  
  The next is creating database's, some servers (like the one I'm pulling my hair out with now) have their systems set up so scripts can't create the PN database....leaving you stuck on the 'no database created page' Here there could simply be a link to a page that explains how to do a manual install (create the DB in phpMyAdmin, set config files, how to incode passwords etc).   Yet another Idea i've had that somebody needs to jump on.
  
  I am the master of my server not installing the database so I will write up some documentation on how to do it to include in the core :)
