Does such a login mechanism exist that would allow me to simply let a user register without having to be sent a password, click on the "I agree" buttons etc?
It would be nice if they could just select a username, enter their email address, and choose their password all in 1 shot.
All comments appreciated.
Thx

See PNCUserhack. While I have it configured for moderated registrations, I believe it can do what you desire. There is a correctly translated version available for download on my site. -

yes PNCUserhack does have the ability to do this as well. Although no method I'm aware of can remove the "agree to terms" checkbox (without modifying the core NS-Newuser module files that is), it's just one more click on the way to registering without email confirmation. -

Well, to remove the agree to terms, you just have to desactivate the legal module that contains the terms or use and stuff like that... And hop, the box is no longer there in the user registration form! -

excellent, well I guess that would do it then! heheh...
personally, I don't mind an extra check box for any kind of legal protection that module might afford me, although I believe I read somewhere that generic EULA's like that don't hold up well in court, still I'd prefer to err on the side of safety -
