The creators site is down, and has been fer some time.
He was in the middle of trying to explain to me how I can use pnhomepage to make a "welcome" page. Or homepage, without news reports, admin news, etc.
Just put put and image and a "welcome" onthe index page.
Anyone else know how to do this?
I'm a noob, so please explain it to me in detail pleasz.
Thanks in advance,
-Xarcell

May I ask if you downloaded the module from their site before it went down?
I just found your posting and did some lookup in the modules area for a description of the module. It looks like what I would like to have on my site as well but can't get to their site as it seems down.
If you did download the module, would you be willing to email it to me? Once I have worked with it a bit I could probably answer some questions about it.
Thanks -

Hi - was just dropping by the boards to announce my new module, which was inspired by pnPhomePage...
It's called BlockHome and it lets you create *multiple* pages of blocks, etc with or without news, etc...
Download it at: http://moe.cape.com/~nate/postnuke/
A readme file is included... To make a "homepage" like you describe, you can just create an HTML block with the output you want (you'll have to upload pics, etc...)... You can set that in the default page, then set BlockHome as your default module...

Nate,
In your BlockHome doc, you mention you assume we are working with a 'classic' theme.php. By 'classic' do you mean one of the default themes that comes in the Post Nuke install? -

Yes, a theme that doesn't use Xanthia or AutoTheme - whether it is all contained in a theme.php file or whether it is a theme.php file that includes external .html files.
The module will work with the aforementioned template engines, but I don't have the details in the doc as to how to add extra theme functions, block zones, etc... for those systems.

Thanks for the info as I just wasn't sure on the terms being used. I'll certainly give this a try out on my local workstation that I use to experiment on. Looking forward to seeing the neat features you have made in this module. :)
