Can someone please tell me how to get rid of this spacing error. Circled in red.

a) wrong forum, this belongs to your theme
b) try displaying the form inline (using CSS)

I'd say in the table row that contains these elementsyou'll want to set the VALIGN to TOP....
Also in the form, you can set the margin to 0, as MSIE and other browsers like to add space under it for some reason:
