AutoTheme: Multiple Uses of pnHome  Bottom

  • I have a site that I needed to have multiple index like pages available. Everything from the one PostNuke installation is going to be used over and over again so I really don't need a mutlisites function on the page.

I noticed that AutoTheme uses a module called pnHome that creates a specific page for the Home Page and another style for the rest of the site. I wanted to know if there was a way to add mutliple pages like that. Instead of having two seperate pages one for home and one for everything else, I wanted a page for home and a page for another section, and another section, etc and then have one for every other page.

Basically I am in the middle of converting this news site for my school ( www.sagamore.iupui.edu ) into a PostNuke site. I have used AutoTheme before and love how versatile it is. Each Main section has its own page that looks like the index page. I wanted to recreate those pages but each of those pages will use a different news module that is tailored to that section so I can't just copy the current index page (otherwise it would all be the same content over and over again).

So again I just wanted to know if there was a way to create more than just the theme page (theme.php) and the pnHome page (theme2.php). I wanted to know if I could add a third, fourth, etc page.

Anyway, if you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

    Thanks,

    Brad
  • Yes, for every module you can add a Custom Module that is a seperate layout for just that module. In the new 1.7 you can evcen extend this farther and add options to Custom Modules so that every page in your site can be customized.

Should be in the docs, modules/AutoTheme/docs/
