I have installed and configured both the XUser and FormExpress modules. I have created my custom sign up form using FormExpress, noted it's ID and entered the ID in the "FE Form ID used to override SignUp:" field of the XUser config area.
Problem is, when I test as a new user trying to create an account, I still see the old sign-up form. Do I have to somehow deactivate the default sign-up? Doesn't the phrasing "override" mean exactly that, that it override the current form?
Any help would be appreciated.

I mean the pre XUser form. I discovered since I posted though that there is a different signup and login link provided by XUser and you must remove the original ones. Now my problem lies in the XUser login and menu block not appearing when they are created. They were created fine, and appear in the blocks list but are nowhere to be seen on my page. -

Then check the Permission setting to make sure that unregistered users will be able to see the new X-User login block. -

As it turns out, I was just not seeing the blocks because they only show up when the user is not logged in. I stumbled across this, and everything is working great now. Thanks for the tips. -

Any chance you may have installed pncUserHack 1.6E with this? I am just wondering, as I am contemplating using FE and XUser for new user signups as well and fear that the pncUserHack may interfere...
