  This is probably going to seem like a dumb question, but I'm new to postnuke community, but not webportals and I was wanting the opinion of others.
  
  I am setting up postnuke web portal for my school which we are hosting our own redhat 8 server (4.5 in/out) connection and I was wondering with no considerations to resources what the best private messenger module for postnuke is and if there even is one for the new version?
  
  And where would be a great place to track down some school related modules like maybe a grade system ect.
  
  Any help would be greatly appreciated

  Private messaging is a standard feature of all PostNuke versions surely. Do you mean Instant Messaging?
  
  ... I recently completed work on a WWE wrestling site and we installed something called `Online Messenger Post Buddy`, which mimics the functionality of an instant messaging application by regularly refreshing the user`s private messages every ten seconds or so.
