    Yours are the best critics to my system !!

    - I'm pleased to see you "exiting" PHP where you should and not coding "echoed HTML", though you do go a little astray in the themefooter and Open/Close Tabel sections.

    My english is not very good (sorry): can you be more plain in that point?

    That's O.K. - four year of French language class, and my French is non-existent!

    I mean, in your code instead of this:

    Code

    echo "<FONT COLOR=\"#FFFFF\" SIZE=\"4\">";

    You leave PHP mode, via a PHP closing tag: ?> and code:

    Code

    <FONT COLOR="#FFFFF" SIZE="4">

    and re-enter PHP when you need to code again -- as it should be (outlined in this post...

    Bon Travail!

    P.S. Did you see my post re: the "print" variable?...

    echo "<font color="\"#FFFFF\"" size="\"4\"">";

    Of course the script is still full or bugs...
    Some are due to the hurry, other live alone...

    I began these Themes about one year ago.
    I publish them by chance in July 2003 and they had a great success... but they where "sketches", my first works on theme design... and they drag a lot of inherited bugs plus my early unexperinece...

    Now I've not the time for making "only" new themes or fixing the old ones...

    If the fix is easy -and fast-, maybe I'll do it. If it is not, I will take it away from distribution...

    Yes, thanks. I will take care of all this in the future... sometimes (usually?) there is no way of fixing the past... and it's better to escape forward
  • I think we're having a communication breakdown - ah well.... Good luck!

  • First my compliments to the chef! Thanks again for the free meal - while I'm about to outgrow this theme it has been ultra easy to modify. I think got her juuuuust right and it has been the cornerstone of my site's success =)

    One quick thought - I'm not sure the current status of this in the most recent updates of the theme but there was a nasty tracking bug in the original phoning home to 80.64.34.252... Sure would have looked bad to our members if THEIR firewalls went nuts on them like mine did on me. You can just delete this stowaway. Admittedly I'm the hack of all hacks so don't take my advise without some further investigation and common sense.

    // Theme tracking
    echo "";
    }

    Also I'm willing to (attempt to) package my (duct tape)version of this flexible theme for anyone who wishes: http://theneteffect.org.
  • hi luciddream!

    Nice use of SabadellClients theme!

    You're right: hidding a "Theme tracking" code is not a clean PostNuke behaviour style... but I still does not repent of having done that: I have had the success of tracking thousands of visits (about 600.000 lines of code -50 Mb- in my http access_log every month having only 10 hours/day the server up).

    I have had also the opportunity of seing HOW people evolues the themes and creates very different versions of them (cause they take them for free and dont say nor thanks, nor post theyr URLs...) and this has let me know what they like, what they need... and desing more themes.

    Probably in a short future I will ship the themes clean of this innocent tracking (I have already enough portfolio ;)) But I can not stop the distribution of tracked themes from other sites distributions... so it is a virus!

    You're absolutely free of cleaning them up not only of the "tracking" line but also of all the bugs you can easily find, and re-distribute them (maintaining the minimum authory in the stuff): perhaps I will re-download them from your site and learn a little more.

    Best regards
