  • Hi Everyone

I have just started using Postnuke on my website Cavyland. I am in the process on converting all the info.

One of the most popular pages on Cavyland is the Pet Memorial area. I would love people to be able to submit thier own, can anyone suggest a way of doing this. In case you want to see the type of thing the old page is at www.cavyland.org.uk/memorials.html

  • 404 error on that page, but my PrayerPost module could be of use for such a thing, tho not it's intended purpose. You'd have to do some editing to the language files to use it, but it may work http://noc.postnuke.com/projects/halbrooktech

  • apologies, I posted the wrong URL its at http://www.cavyland.org.uk/memorial.html, I will take a look at that module although changes it sounds daunting lol
  • It's just a language file, hard to break anything. You'll find that will be the case for anything that isn't specifically what you need.

  • I need to ask these questions as I have searched and searched but cant find the answers.

I install the modules in my modules directory, so far I have done Prayer post and Photo Share. They show up on my module list in Admin and I activate them etc....but then how do I access them ?? How to I 'put them to work?' Also how to I add them to the menu on the left hand side of the screen?

I like the idea of the third party modules and I have managed to get my core modules going ok but I just cant figure this out. I want to put photos on my site and it said you need Photo Share, but how do you use it

Also how do I adjust the language file, how do I access the language file :? lol

I think Post nuke is great and have managed to get the hang of themes and blocks I think

    Please help

  • What may be best is to install a module called "Menu Edit" I'll add it to my pnDev site in a few minutes (http://pndev.halbrooktech.com). It makes it much easier to manage the menus with a drop down list of the modules to add.
