I have been waiting for an OSCommerce module for postnuke for a long time.
Recently I found that the PHPNuke community has done that.
here is the link http://www.osc2nuke.org/
I know there is something similar like a PostKart, but I like OSC since it is good and free.
Does anyone know whether the PN community is working on this also?
Thanks for any feedback?

I saw the post in the Modules area on this site, but didn't see anything on the OSNukelite.org site about it. I registered, and hit the Downloads area only to find that there was integration for PHPnuke.
HAS ANYONE FOUND THIS ONE YET? I tried contacting them this morning, but still waiting for an answer. I need to integrate a shopping cart for someone, and would prefer to use PostNuke and OSC.
Anyone using this new module yet? If it even exists? -

I am writting a shopping cart to integrate with postnuke, I have no life...
I have tried to think of as many things as I can but if someone can think of something to put in the program I would appreciate the help. Also, if anyone is interested in helping test the program that would also be great. It basically works with the exception of shipping, sales tax, and paying. This is the frst time I have ever used PHP or mySQL I think I may have started a little big but thats what keeps it interesting. Anyone interested please email me at scott@suborno.net
Thanks,
Scott -

I would write it as a series of modules with hooks, rather than one all encompasing system.

There isn't a lot of documentation out there, that I have found, that tells you how to do this stuff. I am surviving by trial an error. Mostly error.

As it stands at the moment, if you were seriously considering operating a shop, OSC is no where near fully integrated with PN. I would probably consider operating OSC independently (it is all but a CMS anyway) at least until there is professional integration. And this wont happen as a minimum, I guess until well after the .8 release. -

You know guys, I really feel that OSC is very overrated. I recently went through the agony of evaluating shops to use for a commercial games section of pnFlashGames we are opening. I tried OSC, pnCommerce, X-Cart, and cpCommerce. I took each shop and totally configured it to do what I needed. Some of them did, and others could not do it. X-Cart is pricey, but very much worth it if you can swing it. I will probably convert to it later on if the store does well. Believe it or not, cpCommerce was the best one out of all of them. Even though pnCommerce is integrated into PostNuke, it does not support e-goods (downloadable products), so it would not work for me. OSC's presentation is so intertwined with it's logic it is almost impossible to modify because once you use a hack you break from the core and can no longer easily update to new versions.
cpCommerce is totally template based and has a basic API for modules. I was able to modify the store to require extra information during checkout, validate the information, generate license keys, and present the keys in multiple areas only when the purchase was confirmed. I also added new features to the admin area for detailed sales reporting broken down by manufacturer showing me total profits, their cut, and my cut by month. It took me about 5 hours to do all that and completely change the theme of the store to match my site. It would have taken weeks to do that with OSC and I can still do updates as they are released. For a free store I think you'd be crazy to use OSC over cpCommerce unless the stock unmodified OSC store is exactly what you need.
I will admit, however, that OSC has some features that cpCommerce does not. But none of those extra features were really important. Most of it was fluffy stuff that 90% of online shop owners don't even need or use. This is all just my opinion and experience though, yours may differ.

cpcommerce looks good for electronic goods, but from taking a look at the demo (admin esp.), there does not seem to be any way to define shipping or taxes.
My money is still on OSC as the best.
