I have read in another post that this, "Latest Comments" block exists, but I can't find it. Can some one provide an URL or a script?
The block is just for showing a no. of the latest added comments. I only need it for news comments, but won't mind if it also works with other comments.

The block is called LatestComments (no space) it's at www.sourceforge.net . I just installed it, and it works fine.
