How can I get an Image Gallery Module?  Bottom

  • I to make an image gallery on my site, like for screenshots for the game reviews i will be making. Is there like a module out there for that? If so, please give me a good idea of what the best one is. And I had a friend install my Postnuke stuff, so I will want someone to install it for me unless its really simple.

    If you know of one and need to contact me, here is my info.

  • Personally, I like Photoshare the best - it`s highly configurable and gives neat results. You can see it running on my site here - http://www.wwe-unsanctioned.co.uk. Note also the random image block on the homepage (an inclusive feature of the Photoshare module).
  • where can I find the photoshare module? I had a quick look on your site and it looks much simpler than the others around! lol
  • If you have a little amount of photo, photoshare is OK.Otherwise, use My-gallery which suport mass upload.
    There is no a 100% satisfying photo module both with beautiful layout and strong functions out there.
  • My_eGallery (http://lottasophie.sourceforge.net/) supports comments and the 'not so beautyfull look' can easly modified (it uses templates).
  • Boy, I've been trying to get photoshare to work, but can't. It reports that the system is unable to work with either .jpg or .gif files, no matter what I do. I upload images directly into the Photoshare_images folder and upon opening, it'll report the images there, but when you open the album, it reports no images.

    Apparently many people are having this problem from what I see on Jorn's site, but no answers cropping up.

    I've even tried his patch of removing the comment marker before a certain line, to no effect.

    Anybody have any suggestions?

    Thanks!

    == Cliff
  • I have found Gallery (from http://gallery.menalto.com/) to do everything that I need.

    You can change look and feel with extensive CSS style sheets and if that's not good enough they have a simple template system.

    Also, their Gallery Remote software is an excellent Java client that allows you to work efficiently with albums and pictures, including uploading huge numbers of such.

  • Which one is best to integrate into Postnuke - eg with a module?

    Scott
  • All will become a part of Postnuke. But the promise of most integration lies with Photoshare in what I've read. The images imported through Postnuke can be used with other modules. That I really like.
