I just noticed that , when I previewed my reply to a comment, my identity changed to "PN-guest". I was logged in and I suspect that, if I had submitted instead of previewed my comment, my identity would not have changed.

Yes, this happened to me several times, and it is extremely annoying if the guests are not allowed to post, since one loses the text after the "no right to post" message or something.
Is there a way to either:
- prevent the session from expiring if a comment or message is being composed
- prevent the text from being lost when submitted after the session expired
- spit out the text again, if PN says "no right to post" (something like "you wanted to post the following text: blah-blah) - this would give the writer a chance to copy-paste it away for resubmit.

yep - with .8 the content will be stored in a session variable...
