PNStandings has tested my patience long enough. If ya go to their site ya see some nice guys but they keep coming up with reasons to NOT come out with a football module....all the way back since like april or may. GB them for thinking of us sports fan but I don't wanna wait anymore. PLUS should just one site have a lock on sports type post nuke stuff? Soooo that's where my thoughts are at.
They already have soccer and baseball so it can't be too hard to switch em to football.
They score weekly games in an NCAA tournament style bracket system. In american football, we only do our playoffs like that. The regular season is "head to head" matchups but teams get a Win or a Loss not "lose you're out" kinda thinking. The player pages list stuff like birthdate and height and weight and....that's cool but that'd be extra IMO if I were gonna do it I'd want passing yards, passing attempts, completions....game stats. They do have a place where you can upload pics of the players and they get their own page and it is very cool.
I thought(if it weren't too hard) any time a player's name is mentioned in a news article it becomes "clickable" to there player page, that'd be just working the autolinks into the player database.
Got tons of ideas, no knowledge of PHP or API. My 9th year on the web designing/working on football websites so I could certainly lend some thoughts, pics, stats...whatever. It just doesn't seem that hard if ya use their ideas to start(which they invite you to do on their site) with. Anyone interested please let me know
