I'd like to add a block to my site that has a form with a single textbox and a dropdown list where I can select which website to use i.e. Google, Yahoo, and dictionary.com. So the user enters some text in the textbox, selects the service in the combo-box and hits "submit". Postnuke then takes that and displays the search results in the center area without leaving postnuke.
Is there any sort of mod out there that does this already?

If you could find an appropriate JavaScript or PHP script, you could paste it's contents in an HTML or PHP block you create...
Here's one you might be able to adapt to your needs...

Not sure about the legality of displaying the s/e results in your own site, but if you found a script that does that (check http://hotscripts.com), you could maybe modify its output similar to the PN blank.php file (to fetch your PN layout) and display the results in the middle...
