Hi, succesfully I have installed PostNuke. I can go to the /.../index.php with no problems. But if I want to open the admin.php , the main-windows remains empty. What to do?
As I remember during installation I was not be asked to give a name and password for the Administrator.
Thanx for your tip, akasha -

if you've installed via install.php there was a question for the admin account - if overseen use 'Admin' and 'Password' to login. since PostNuke != phpnuke you can't call admin.php directly - you need to login with an admin-account at first...

After I have logged in with these, the user-registration-side opens again. The administration-modul is still invisible and "who is online" says: "One guest and one member" is online, although no other than me knowns about my databank...
What should I do? -

...one info more: I could not install directly with the install.php. Because I got no entry into my database. So I had installed the PN via phpMyAdmin 2.2.3 manually. After I had not installed but "upgradet" my system with install.php. That was the reason why I was not asked for a name and Admin-pass.... -

I have the same problem. I installed using install.php with admin-account and all. But no administration module
I dropped my database and re-installed everything, with the same result...
(Maybe I should stick to phpWebsite which I already have installed and running...) -

Same problem here. Installation was OK. During the installation, I did put in my admin username and password. After the installation, I login with admin username, but the admin links and functions did not show up!
I think the problem is with Windows IIS server, but I don't don't exactly what.
I have installed the same PostNuke many times before with the same version of PN, PHP, MySQL, but on an Apache server, and there were no problems with Apache.
This time, the only difference is IIS. -

Ok, got it working. Changed version of mysql and PHP.
Before: mysql v3.23.54 and PHP v4.22 both came with RedHat 9 > no admin-links
Now: mysql v3.23.56 and PHP 4.33 > YES - admin-links are there
I don't know if it was one or both changes that made the trick (I know: never change more than one thing at a time, but ...
) or if it's the same problem for you.
Maybe it's worth a check... seems to work for me.
