How do I make my home page look different than other pages?  Bottom

  • Hi, I'm using AutoTheme and basically I want my home page to look like http://testiapep.odpsystems.com/assembly/index_test.html and I want all my internal pages to look like http://testiapep.odpsystems.com/assembly/internal.html

How do I set up my theme/blocks/modules/WHATEVER so that the home page can look significantly different than my internal pages?

    Thanks,
    Julian
  • Look at the theme.cfg from the AT-PMS theme.

  • In AutoTheme admin (.7 and 1.7) create a custom module called *HomePage and config how you want your home page and config General how you want all other pages to look.

In 1.0 do the same, just use the custom module name pnHome instead of *HomePage.

  • Thanks, all.
  • I have a similar question - and I am using AutoTheme 1.7.

I would like to create a "Welcome" message on my index page, center block. this message should only appear on the index (home) page, and no other modules should appear under this welcome message. (That is, I don't want news or any other information displayed under this Welcome message on the index page...just the "Welcome" message.) How can I turn off these other modules from displaying, but make sure my welcome message is displayed?

I don't want the Welcome message to appear on any other pages in the site....but other pages in the site will need to have modules display in the center block.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!
  • I have posted this over on "Third Party Modules and Blocks" instead, as I just realized I had posted it to the wrong group. Sorry for the confusion.
