I just tried to modify a theme that I downloaded. What I did was basicly this:
o Download theme-file
o Extract and copy to the right directory
o Copy the theme to a new directory (cp -R theme mytheme)
o Edit the mytheme
The problem is that mytheme doesn't show up in the administration/settings screen. I guess I made something wrong, can anyone give me some hints?

Hi - the themes must be placed under the "themes" directory of PN - not "theme"... P.S. if you renamed the theme, make sure to rename the global variable, $thename to the new name of your theme in the theme.php (if the var is used/exists for that theme)...
P.S. Check out some of my posts re: theme writing and tricks!
