Error changing themes  Bottom

  • When I try to change themes in MY ACCOUNT (I'm the Admin) to see if I'd like to apply to the entire site, I get an error. The error is:

    Quote

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: formataidheader() in /home/jammin2/public_html/html/themes/Newspaper/theme.php on line 182

I get the header, menu, and first news item. Everything else is pretty well hosed.

    Any suggestions?

I should also tell you that I have PostCalendar installed, Gallery, and PNphpBB2.

    Thanks!
  • Seems that the theme is broke - does it work with a default theme

  • The Post Nuke default themes all work! It's just any others that I download that are a problem.
  • any others? most should work? Did you download some of the recent ones from themes.postnuke.com?

I didn't answer you the other day, and for that I apologize. Getting some surgery this week, means lots of doctors office trips.

Thank you thank you to you and the other volunteers for your help. It's much appreciated by newbies to the Post Nuke users environment like myself.

To answer your question, I downloaded a huge theme pak from http://www.pntm.com- a couple of hundred in there, and I'm now going throough them to decide what to keep and what to toss. I have found that some work, others don't. Most of the ones who do work will need to be modified to add my center admin block back (once I really figure out what I'm doing), and others just error out. Those are the ones I'm tossing - unfortunately, some of the ones I really liked are included in that category.

I've learned some valuable lessons. One - keep Swiss Army Knife handy, and two - check them before installing. Thanks again for all your help on these issues.

My other question is this: Is there a documentation group out there? I used to write quite a few users guides for software, and I'd like to participate in a project like this (starting with dreaded permissions!). I think having a beginner or simple-minded soul such as myself would be a huge help!
