I have been tinkering with my site trying to make sure the newest version available for my modules/blocks have been updated. It is a pain in the tooshie clicking through every single module/block looking for the version number, and some don't even list it. And, the other possibility is digging through all the docs in each module folder. SO...I got to thinking (yes, something smells like its burning)....how about a module that could read the version number out of the main module/block script. I don't know if all modules/blocks are coded the exact same way in where the version number is listed, or if it would be easy to do...but someone who creates alot of mods/blocks (like magic), could raise the bar in developement by implimenting this.
