X-User Block Does Not Appear Where it Should  Bottom

  • If this post belongs on an xuser specific forum, please let me know.

I recently upgrade my xuser module to 0.2.3RC1. Now, the xuser login block does not show up anymore, unless I completely log out.

I have my permissions set so that the Admin group has * * admin access.

    Anyone seen this before?

It belongs in the third party modules and blocks forum actually ;) (moved)

The log in block should only appear if you need to log in, shouldnt it?

Yes. Good point. However, proir to upgrading the mod the "login" block would turn into a "logout" block after you logged in. I sort of liked having the block always on the side bar somewhere (left or right) so that poeple would not have to go to "My Account" to log out. I actually disabled access to the "My Account" section of the site for users (my particular application is business drvien and the My Account features are best left off the site to quelch "user issue...")

I will look into adding a new menu with just the Logout part of My Account section on it...

    Thanks,

  • Problem sovled.

Hammer Head's ability to point out the obvious lack of a need for a the Login Block after you are already logged in lead me to add a link on the Main Menu to the user.php logout function.

Sometimes I wonder if I should turn off the monitor and step slowly away from the keyboard :?

    Thanks again HH!,

  • Dave,

I always find that sitting there for 10 minutes abusing the monitor (even though it's the computer that deserves it) works for me ;)

Thanks, guy - for the customer support :)

As of 0.2.1, that behavior was "fixed" so that you can only see the login block when you are not login.

This list is based on users active over the last 60 minutes.
