Any one able to direct me to a REAL istallation Manual. Particularly interested in the set up of MySQL. My installation does not work past the MySQL because is unable to find the Host. I am new to this and I have not found help by reading the forums. Please help!

leave the host as localhost - if this does not work please put step by step info on ewhat you did then we can help more specificly

I wish to install into a subdomain charmed.slayuk.com
I have MySQL enabled
My username (FTP etc) is "slayukcharmed"
My FTP/account password is (hypothetically) "abc"
My MySQL password is (hypothetically) "xyz"

what information should I put where?

once uploaded all files to your server and to the correct directory ie if your directory for PostNuke is charmed.slayuk.com/html then go to charmed.slayuk.com/html/install.php after chmod config.php and config-old.php to 666 - once iin install follow instructions until you get to the database info - leave server as localhost, put your usernmae in and password for the database and what the database is called - i suggest you leave the prefix as "nuke" to save confusion. - then go to the next step - do not check the option to create database - and this is a new install when asked. - follow through and then enter your chosen username and password remembering that all usernames and passwords are case sensitive.
