I'm trying to turn off Avantgo and turn on "Gallery"....

I realize "gallery" isnt a core module but I'm guessing the problem is related. I' have deactivated Avantgo and activated gallery but nothing ever gets updated on my "modules" menu on my PostNuke site.

    Any ideas? Thanks!

    Dave,

The menu is independant of the module activation status. You can edit the menu block from administration->blocks.

sweet! Thanks. Whats the point of deactivating a module then, if its still loads up when you click on the menu item?

The menu link is still there. You will have to remove the item :)

Once modules are all fully compliant with the pnAPI then de-activating the module will prevent a user accessing the module.

In addition the menu can be setup to show all active modules - there's a show all module check box in the menu block. However doing this may produce some unexpected results as there a modules that have a user component but shouldn't be called directly (e.g. ratings) so the default menu block is shipped with a useful default menu setup.
