ok well ... what ive done is rewritten sections of the downloads module .. so what this does is makes it so that unregesterd users may browse your files and such ... look at the details and stuff.. but when it comes time to download them .. they must either login or register before they are allowed to downlaod the file :D ...
ok the file in question is .. 'modules\Downloads\index.php'

now what thats telling it is ... in the case of get it if the user is logged in .. then by all means get them the file .. if they are anything but logged in (meening not logged in) then you redirect them to the page 'user.php' instead.. 'user.php' is the page that asks you to login or regester or to retrieve lost password .... you can change that to any page you want .. if you want a custom error page for this then jsut create the page and replace 'user.php' with the URL for ur page ... ok so when all is done ur new code should look something like this
