  I am interested in this as well, I know there is PostKart and someone is developing pnCommerce. Would be nice to hear from someone who is actively using such a mod for real. I am also curious on how it works with credit card transactioning. I am thinking of opening a shop online but never touched any e-commerce technology. thanks

  From what I've read, PostKart was abandoned and pnCommerce, which is based on it, is being developed. I don't think it handles credit card transactions through a processor. I believe it is meant solely for PayPal type transactions.
  
  A more robust program is OSCommerce, which I believe does handle credit card transactions through a processor. Someone very recently mentioned they have achieved partial integration with PN (shared registration).

  pncommerce handles online payment with PayPal and 2checkout.com at the moment, moneybookers.com and authorize.net are planned with the smartified version that is in progress.
