  I'm trying to get a page similar to the Today's Big Story except that instead of pulling the most read story, i can supply an article ID or two and have it show those articles only.
  
  Is there a module/block floating around that can already do this? Any suggestions for a hack of an existing module?

  I doubt it, but you might want to ask the developer of the Featured links block, as it is along the same lines - he might be willing to do something for you

  Maybe i could create a center PHP block? Is there a variable or function i could call and pass a parameter to that might show me a specific article?

  you site doesn't work....i want this block but I can't register at your site! I have done 2 different user names and after i log on it just takes me right back to the log on page, please fis your site so I can download this block!
