Somara-Platinum destroyed my site--HELP!!!!  Bottom

  • I tried to download and install the Somara-Platinum scheme and it crashed my post nuke site. Error I get is

Fatal error: call to undefined function: themeheader() in /home/simconne/public_html/nuke_new/html/header.php on line 188
I deleted the Somara-Platinum folder I created and it still does the same thing. What is going on? HELP me please????

I think what happened is Somara was corrupt and when i switched it in administration, the same error came up. I deleted the somara folder bu tthe problem persists. Looks like a reinstall is in order. Obviously another file got corrupted, but I cant find which one. Warning to others, dont use Somara Platinum.
  • More likely, S-P is an older theme that won't work with the latest PN distros without modification.

However, easiest thing to do to correct the problem is download the PN Swiss Army Knife, which allows you to reset your theme:

    http://www.snowjournal.com/psak.html
  • or to upload an other theme in the same directory...
  • What changes are necessary to an older theme to make them work with the current distribution?
  • depends on how old it is. But if it is working within 0.7x it is still working, some of the older themes are also still working. So try it out.

The easiest way to try it out without needing to do something difficult to erase the theme, is to:

    Upload the theme to www.yourpostnukesite.xx/themes/astrangenameforatheme

    To see if it works:

    type: www.yourpostnukesite.xx/index.php?theme=astrangenameforatheme

Dont go to settings or to My account and change theme, only do the above.

If it is not working, erase the folder you just created. Thats the easiest way.
