I run a small, private, family web site and I have decided to use Easy Host Free to provide each member of my site a small amount of free web space. I would LOVE it if I could just get this integrated into a PostNuke Module. Here is the link to the application so you may know what I am referring to:

There have been LOTS of people request something like this and I have seen a few modules that come close but still fall short. I think this would be an awesome add-on to this portal. I am sure it can be done, I just don't know how to do it, or how hard it would be, etc. Here are some of the features I would LOVE to see in a module:
- option for when users sign up for accounts, to automatically be signed up for a free hosting account
- the control panel be integrated into a module. Like maybe the users can just click on a link like "edit your page" or something and be able to work on their pages within the site itself, etc.
- possibly a seperate links module that would allow them to search for members links...or better yet, just an added section in their member's profiles that would link to their homepage so other members could view their pages
I don't have any PHP experience and I know this is something that would take some work but I also know this would be a super-cool module to have and I REALLY wish someone would check into the level of difficulty it would take. I'm not rich and I don't know enough PHP to be of any use but I would do whatever I could to help get this project going.

Take a look at PostWrap. At least you can test market the idea. See where it goes.
The automation of site creation there are a lot of issues especially on a family hosted site. Bear in mind there are many individuals that just like to host a website until the webmaster catches them doing something naughty. A lot of failsafe checks would be core to developing such a module.
Now as far as cool idea overall, I think postnuke could do this. Search the modules section as their is a Canadian messing around with multisites. How about giving the customer an automatic PostNuke site.

Dean, thanks so much for the input. I understand the security implications but for my purpose alone, it would be just what my site needs. I just wanted a way for them to have a small amount of web space to do whatever they wish with. I'm not really looking at it as a "customer" standpoint as I am so much as just a really cool idea for my small family. You know what I mean? If there is no way to integrate it how I am wanting, then I will try the postwrap module. I've heard some very good things about it. I just really wanted a way to automate it. Again, thanks for your response. I am truly enjoying the support I have been receiving from this forum and the entire PostNuke community.
