Customers new to websites are intimidated by the web. They want to handle PostNuke with kid gloves even though you tell them to tear it up.
Here are the problems I've documented with some customers.
1. Editing a story. They don't get the idea of administration should be done in the administration page. They look for editing of stories on the story page itself. Each customer has stated this problem. Content Express solves this problem but I love the Topics portion of Postnuke. Don't want to give that up.
2. Keeping a lead story in the lead. Customers want some of their stories in the lead all the time. One has requested it always be placed in the top of the que. This is not easily accomplished with Postnuke. It would be nice to go in and change the posting date.
3. The Visual Editing Box. There are quirks with it that a new user can't comprehend. The editing box is fine for me as I don't mind doing HTML once in a while to correct stories. However, new users grow a dead fear of adding a new story when they see the occasional Hyperlink show up.
4. There is something about the word "on" that causes PostNuke to place characters in it. I am going to look this up and see if there is a fix.
5. I'm glad the next release will deal with themes. I've been going through the codes of the theme.php to find out similarities and differences. Not standard yet.
6. Customer really dislikes not being able to put Graphics in on the fly when they are posting a new story.
7. Easier way to add Flash.
That's what I have for now as a suggestion. Keep developing, don't let others pull you away from this goal. The job you are doing is terrific. I'm proud to represent you guys and I haven't felt like that with anything related to the internet. The internet became a money sucking machine with little return for many. This product offers nothing to blame except the neglect of the customer and webmaster for their success. It wasn't so clear before. GREAT JOB everyone. :!: :!: :!:

Quite a few questions.

1.look for editing of stories on the story page itself
There is a link on the story page to edit or delete a story.
You could always add a link straight to the story admin off of their admin menu.

Have you looked at the new module PagEd - search on this site.

2.Keeping a lead story in the lead
There is a block designed by Magicx at portalzine.de called i-featured article - have a look at the index page on this site.

3. The Visual Editing Box ..... dislikes not being able to put Graphics in on the fly
Try out the wysiwig editor - RTEMulti - you cana ssign which text fields use it and it allows the upload and insertion of images. Its a great module - you'll find it at sourceforge - RTE-Multi

I posted the message more for the next release of Post Nuke. These are all minor issues as far as I'm concerned.
I will try the immediate fixes. I do have Content Express installed and I know flash works in it. Again just a wish list thing.
I didn't know about PagEd, I'm going to check that out.
PostNuke is great! Best Website Solution for the Internet! :D

Agreed, PostNuke is extremely good.
If you'd like your customers to be able to add images through the add stories page, give RTEMulti a try. It's a visual HTML editor that lets you do that when configured correctly.
Don't look for good documentation, at least I couldn't find any. :p -

Had Content Express installed. Test site. Multi_Rte bumped heads. Haven't had time to locate the problem but it definitely had a time with it. I'll check the documentation a little better. They did have a file for coexistance perhaps I was supposed to do something. Will check and let you know.
Also installed PagEd. Worked from the start. I am going to check for coexistant with Content Express here as well. From what I see these modules will not bump heads. The installation was more time consuming but worth it. I read the instructions chased around Netpbm and found out he already had a version compiled. Sometimes this is just fun. Looks good and I like the organization. Good JOB at http://paged.anubix.net/ ! :D -

Content Express and PagEd work pretty well together. Didn't have a problem.
Well there are some purposes for all three formats as the Webmaster stated in his reply above.
Unfortunately, I have two websites requiring these features. Still have Multi-RTE on my agenda as I would like to see improvements in the Visual Editor. 8)
