Suggestions For Customer Service  Bottom

  • icon_lol As a customer who comes in on this forum once in a while. Woud you just delete the RANT messages. The ones that are not constructive.

    Your software is free. Support has been free. What else can you ask for. Here's a URL we would like you to try. www.microsoft.com You are welcomed to come back. There they get paid to take meaningless rants. The prices they charge demand perfection. They will still blow you off with one of their flunky providers who will sell you a new solution to fix a built in problem. They seem to disappear in the dust. Now Open Source has been around a while so we expect to be here if you want to come back. However we are in the process of destroying Microsoft with free software and free support. Now wait in line, as your needs will be attended to in due time. We have also barred those who ranted too much just to get service from the site. Our primary goal is development. Our supporters, patrons oftentimes get paid for support. When or if you decide to come back and you demand attention. Post this, "Willing to pay standard technical support fee of $45.00 per hour to resolve this problem." Many who know PostNuke will run to your immediate assistance. Chances are they will tell you just send me a beer, but that is only if you are rantless.

    I stop to read those rants as they are shocking and it wakes me up. I then look to see the technical issue and there isn't any. Please dump these Frontpage hacks.
  • Then there will be a rant about how the first rant was deleted. I skim through the rants, if there is no actual need/request for help I move on to the next post.
  • It's a tough job to remove all the rants as they do at times become annoying. Someone will read my post here now and prolly post back that the reason there are rants is because the software has flaws, the documentation is not there. This goes with the territory I suppose.

    One forum we do not get enough use out of is the tutorial section. This is a community that should be helping each other. For the most part it is, but there really does need to be a little more giving back in amongst all the taking.

    And as far as I am concerned, there should never be a forum dealing with someone making money or offering money here for preferential treatment. Too many people give their free time to this project. This is the spirit of PostNuke to me. people helping people. Not contractors offering services to the few that can afford to pay.
