I have been a long time fan of postnuke, and have been using it for a while now. I have always wondered why core support for a javascript scroller was not present. This seems like a simple thing to do...
It has always been the thing that postnuke was missing..
MyPHPNuke was always my favorite nuke flavor, that had this feature in it. I don't know what happened to MPN, but it went south...pretty much as soon as codewolf stopped being primary.
The scroller in MPN was setup, so you could have multiple rss feeds, scrolling in one block. I think core support for this is needed.
This could be set up, so that you could have multiple scroller blocks on one page, one block configured for say geek news rss feeds, and another for opensource projects...all feeds coming from multiple sites, and rotating.
Theme integration also, where the background would match the block background.
Also, you could choose from any content from installed modules,
so that the top downloads could scroll, or the top 5 news stories, etc...
Any takers?
