I need a webmail module for my site. The ones I've checked out so far weren't integrated with PN. My users are gonna get really confused if they have to log into postnuke, and then log in a second time to access their mail.

I have been thinking of writing a module for this myself, but I want to ask if anyone else is working on this also (I don't like reinventing the wheel). I think I will base it off of squirrelmail since my webserver doesn't have the PHP imap plugin.

So anyone else out there working on a webmail plugin?

I too have thought it would be nice to have a webmail feature integrated into PN. I am using squirrelmail. I've been using it for quite some time. It's an active open source project, I like it, and I think it would be a good fit with PN.

Unfortunately, to the best of my knowledge, nobody has actually accomplished a full integration of SquirrelMail or any other webmail client with PN.

At the least, I'd love to have a PN block which told the logged in user that they had mail and reminded them to check their mailboc. It'd really be cool if it had the option of adding an audio message for new mail--my favorite being the Monty Python one.
