I'm just starting out and don't want readers to see all the zeros for past article reads for fear they would flee! How could I modify/eliminate these?

    Eric:

I think (not entirely sure though, maybe someone else can confirm?) that the number of reads is a function of which theme you're using, so you would have to edit it out manually.

Were you able to resolve it? I just looked at your site and I don't see number of reads? Then again, it wouldn't be the first time I missed something that was blatantly obvious ;)

Eric-- I'm sorry... I should have read the title of your topic more carefully... the numbers in the past articles block are the number of comments on the article. If that's what you want to do, then click here for the modified file. Unpack that into [pndirectory]/html/includes/blocks.

If you have trouble dl'ing that, as I occasionally (ok, OFTEN! ;))have problems with that host, I removed:

    Code

    &nsbp;($info[comments])
from the end of line 113 of that file. OK, good luck.

Thanks a ton Raleigh! You helped me get more confidence modifying some of the code to suit me. You have to also remove that snippet from line 109 as well. Problem solved...and I think I can effectively put it back in if I ever decide to.

Thanks... that made me feel good... :) I'm not a programmer by any stretch of the mind, but I got a lot of help on the forums and from some of the incredible devs on this project and it gave me a similar feeling of confidence to play around with the code, explore the code, make the changes that suited my needs... I hope you'll feel feel similarly compelled to pass along whatever you learn along the way as I did! (The very FIRST thing I learned, but only by hard luck! was to back up the file that I was playing with so when I inevitably screwed it up the first couple of times, I could start with a fresh working one!;) Thanks again and good luck with your site!

I don't let anyone post comments and would like to omit the "xx Reads" in the news postings that I make. How can I do this?

    Thank you.
