I make alot of custom themes and I know from experience that some times if you get on part of it wrong you page will not load at all. Now this is a problem for me if I am testing it for the first time on my site. Is there any ways to test other than uploading it and putting it on your site?

Not unless you have a server on you computer.
A good way to test themes without installing them is to upload the theme then test it by going www.yoursite.com/index.php?theme=yourtheme
It will only come up for one page then revert back to the theme you have selected in settings or account.

I thought you wanted to test your theme without it breaking your site if there are errors in your code.
Maybe you should explain yourself a bit better...
