I've got a problem. I decided to remove PN and re-install. I've tried to use both v713 and v714 and both are producing the same wierdness. When open /html/install.php, I see the following error message at the top of the page:

    ___________________
Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE, expecting T_STRING or T_VARIABLE or T_NUM_STRING in /home/biavorg/public_html/html/install/modify_config.php on line 141
    ___________________

    It happened with both versions.

I can go through the installer, step-by-step, but I can't complete it; I never get the "Go to your PN Site" button.

Anyone know what the problem might be?

Are there actually any mods or admins here who can offer answers to these questions? icon_rolleyes

As of right now, there are seven threads in this Forum, and none of them have received an answer. Anyone out there actually know anything? Anyone feeling helpful?

    I'm always feeling helpful. :)

Have you tried yet, the newest version? Available on the PNNews front page.
I've never heard of this error, so sorry I can't help you more.

At least a bump for the thread anyway to be seen by someone who may know. I'd try the newest release though and see if that fixes it for you.

Well, I don't think a new version will solve this problem; I've successfully run v71x on this server, in this account, before.

Also, I'm fairly certain I uploaded the files correctly. Permissions can't be the issue; I haven't run anything yet. All I did was upload the files and try to access install.php.

    Anyone else have any ideas?
