There is one reason there's only the very simple banner module in Postnuke: Nobody is willing to build a module that not nescessarily needs to be a module while there are better solutions out there. As chance1376 said: Openx and it's predecessors are real killer apps. There's nothing they can't do. And you can use them together with
PostNuke without any disadvantage over a native
PostNuke module. At www.kiel4kiel.de or travel.sbb.ch they still use phpAdsNew and it does everything they need. One guy administers it and it's good that it's seperate from the rest of the system.
The same applies to statistics. There are great tools out there that don't have to be included into
PostNuke.
