I was looking around yester day and found this script called pligg that is basically a clone of how digg works. I thought it could make an interesting option to the news module for anyone who is adventurous enough or have some time on their hands and it already uses Smarty [17].
You can find the script at http://pligg.com . Their directory of sites is down but I did find a nicely templated site at http://dealspy.org
Now to go dust of my PHP book and day dream about getting time to crack it open lol :)
