I dont have an answer to the first question, but you might benefit from reading this:
11. How can I create static
HTML (pages with ordinary
HTML content) in my
PostNuke site, keeping the theme and blocks?
You may have noticed that linking directly to an
HTML page from your
PostNuke site takes you to that page, but that the theme and blocks from your
PostNuke site have disappeared. This is because the relevant
PostNuke files that generate the content have not been called by that
HTML file.
To implement static
HTML pages there are a number of solutions. One of these is the blank.php file, which is useful if you have only a small number of pages to create. One problem with this is that you must use FTP to edit the files, which takes away from the online administration aspect of
PostNuke. A better solution, in many respects, is one of the modules created for static
HTML pages.
These modules are PostWrap, Subjects, PageEd and Content Express. PostWrap ‘wraps’
PostNuke around an already created
HTML page. This module is especially useful if you have a lot of existing content that you wish to incorporate into a
PostNuke site.
The other modules, subjects, PageEd and Content Express are useful for creating and managing content in
PostNuke. These modules enable you to manage the content online, without the use of FTP.
