Hello-
I have a small website design business in Tulsa, OK and have plenty of work on my plate all of the time. So much in fact that recently, I just can't take all of the requests for new business that come my way. I want to get better at distributing my workload and also satisfying my clients in a more timely manner.
That said, I have been working on a marketing plan for the release of $NewName. I would like to find out if others in the community may be interested in getting involved in a network of designers. The basic idea is pretty simple and easy to do.
I sell a job to a customer for a basic $NewName website. I then post that job and it's requirments on my website devoted to this project. Whoever is involved as a designer can take control of building the site, utilizing my hosting. They would then customize the $NewName site for the customer with their logo, color/design theme and required modules. I am the link between the customer and you; therefore there is no need to deal directly with the customer. The price paid for the work and the requirements would be defined before the job starts.
The idea here is to network by leveraging the vast skills that many of you have with the help I need with developing sites. Does anyone see any issues with this or have any suggestions for how to involve the community better? I am open to any and all suggestions.
Steven
