Hi,
is your experience that you cannot place youtube of slideshare stuff in News articles? And that you can do it in other modules (name the ones in which it works).
You are aware of the HTML options (markup) that can be set via administration? Embed and Object are by default not allowed in posts.
BTW you are using pn764? or pn8?
