Ok, we all know that there isn't a good webmail program for PostNuke. That doesn't change the fact that I need one for my site. So I will be working on integrating an existing webmail client into PostNuke.

The questions are:
1) What webmail clients do you like?
2) What programs should I stay away from?
3) Should I stick with a PHP based client or would a more feature rich Perl based system be preferred.
(Obviously a PHP system that did everything would be the best, but from the limited searching that I have done it appears the most feature rich programs are Perl based.)

I personally hate webmail and try to never use it so my knowledge of existing systems is pretty thin, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

try out www.b1g.com -if they allow to modify it USE it! its not free but after a very long search i also want to use it.

Becareful, my provider just had to force a shutdown on a phpNuke Web Mail module that was being exploited to send spam.

Exploited by a security hole, or users who sign up just to start spamming people?
If the module just links to their existing mail server then if they spam someone it still shouldn't affect me because the actual message would still be leaving from their providers server right?
On my own site I only plan on giving mail accounts to our paying customers so if they want to spam they will lose more than just mail.

I've only had time to play around with it a little bit and I haven't gotten the mail function working yet, but what I've seen so far is very impressive.

the new version of b1g-mail will include options to avoid that spamming.

really i've tried evrything Horde, squirrilmail, webmail, etc.

the NEW b1g-mail6.0 (its not free anymore!!!!) supports evrything u need for a real quality webmail.

antivirus, antispamm, webdisc, calendar, nice interface, Uploading in extra-popups........ I just can advice you to test the demo on their site.

and by the way - their support is excellent and for the future there are addons planned....

the real thing in eMail for , lets call us "non-professionals", i think.
