development We are happy to be finally able to introduce the new database for all kinds of Zikula extensions. This repository supports the modular structure of our framework (e.g. with distributions) and allows for many functions for which searching was vain so far.

general

Introducing the new zkTimer. This animated gif was developed from the Zikula Logo and is perfect for Ajax-type applications where a animated timer is desired, as well as various other uses.

There are twelve different variations of the timer: three different sizes at four different speeds each. Use the version that best fits your taste and application.

Use of the timer is subject to the usual trademarking rules as outlined in the Wiki

development As mentioned before the NOC will be shut down by end of July. If you haven't converted your projects to http://code.zikula.org yet, then now is the best time to consider this. Please get in contact with chris@zikula.org if you need help.

development This patch does contain a sytlesheet fix to the SeaBreeze theme and News templates. If you have made customizations to this theme take extra care to have these files backed up. Please see the Cozi for details on the file changes.

It is always recommended you back up your site prior to any changes, and should be done regularly.

Hopefully everybody had a smooth patching process and there were few inconveniences.

Thanks,
The Zikula Team

documentation

Please note: This document is quoted from our Wiki Upgrade Documentation. Please check there for future revisions to this information.

As the upgrade from PostNuke .764 to Zikula 1.0.0 is more than just an incremental upgrade, there are many things you should take into consideration before beginning and you should have a well-planned upgrade path.

development Please join in on the discussion to stimulate ideas for a community funded blogging solution. The end result can be a stand alone module or a packaged distribution that is preconfigured to work out of the box.

Let your ideas be heard: X Prize: Blogging Module for Zikula

Your participation and ideas can help this community move forward with this concept and transition into a new way to spur someone to action.
